Ok so in this section of my website I want to talk to you about information publishing. Because I know some people that come to this website might not be 100% sure about what information publishing is right?

So what is information publishing? Well first of all I just want to say that its a great business opportunity for anyone looking to start an online business because if you think about it why do people come online in the first place? Information right? The internet is just full of information about any given topic you can think of. If you want some information on a given topic you come online and go to one of the search engines and type in what it is you would like to know about.

So now that we know how people search for information what about the publishing side? Well the publishing side is when you provide the searcher or customer the information that they looked for and the information can be provided in many different ways. The most obvious way to provide information is via a book but you can also give information to your customers in lots of ways I.E. audio, video, seminars, even live events so as you can see information publishing is not just provided online. It can be provided to your customers offline also.

But I’m sure you can see the benefits the internet has to offer. Lets just take a look at some of them right now. The first thing is when providing your customers with information online you don’t need to physically talk to your customer or ship anything in the post. This means if you are running a information publishing business you will save money on shipping fees and it will save you a trip to the post office.

So what information can you sell and which format would I recommend you sell it in? Well that is a good question and I suppose its down to what market you pick. You see the information publishing business is massive. I mean just think about how many problems people have and you will start to see just how big this can be. The problem niche markets are just one area you could look into. Just think about how many people come online searching for ways to lose weight before there holidays or how many teenagers come online to look for a way to get rid of acne.

You could publish an e-book which could be downloaded online and set up a small mini website to sell that e-book. There is a lot more to it but I just wanted to give you an idea of what you could look to start selling and in what format. Don’t forget if you are seriously thinking about getting in to this business then information products can be outsourced for you by professionals in which ever market you choose to go in to. So you don’t even have to be an expert on the niche market you are selling information in which is pretty cool when you think about it.
